Realme 2 Review: Worth Buying or Not ? Pros & Cons
Realme 2 Review: It was a good success for Realme 1 in the Indian Smartphones market. More value for money, features & unique design. After the great success of Realme 1, Realme has launched new blaster device Real Me 2. This device comes with the powerful specification in the low price range. But it did have a number of flaws.
Realme 2 (32GB) launched in Sept 2018 with Android 8.1 OS. It is available in 3 colors i.e. Blue, Black, Red with a built-in fingerprint sensor as a basic security function. Options for Connectivity are same as regular 3G, 4G, Wifi, Bluetooth.
Now the Realme 2 has arrived so is it a better Smartphone let’s find out. This brings a lot of upgrades over the Oppo Realme 1:
The first thing to notice here is that the biggest change in design comes in the form of a notch. Yes there’s a notch at the top, but lot of people don’t like it, Realme 2 has a little bigger screen 6.2 inch LCD display. It has an HD Plus display compared to a Full HD Plus display in the Realme 1. Now that’s a downgrade.
Realme 2 gives you a display of 19: 9. This display gives a pixel density of 271 ppi with 1520 x 720 pixels, which is the highest in this segment. Its 6.2 inch screen gives you a great experience. Talking about the user interface, its display gives you very great detailing and comes with great brightness for outdoor usage.
Features the same glossy & beautiful diamond pattern design there was same as Readme 1. It is striking and unique and some people don’t like it. Here the branding is now gone obviously.
Realme 2 comes with all the features that you can think of in 2018. When it comes to protecting your device, Realme 2 also comes with unlocking the normal PIN, pattern, password, and fingerprint unlocking, which provides extra protection to your device. Along with this, AI Face recognition has been unlocked keeping user security in mind. I mean thank God for that many people faced this biggest issue with the Realme 1 was the lack of a fingerprint scanner. So I’m glad that the fixes it in Realme 2. I know the fingerprint scanner looks a little weird but it seems pretty fast so that’s good.
Along with this Realme 2 comes with Smart Unlock feature. It records the locations where the user is present at the most and marks Trishy Place on those places, at such places the phone automatically unlocks such as the user’s home.
Realme 2 is a great device for gaming fans who comes with built-in game space. In which gamers can load their favorite games. The sound quality of the device is also very great and clean. This device also gives users the option to use the dual app, so that users can use the WhatsAppAuth account on one device.
Speaking of camera setup in Realme 2 is Horizontal on the back of the device. The front panel has an 8-megapixel sensor with f / 2.2 aperture. The camera of this device has the ability to record video at 1080p and 720p. Plus, this device gives you features such as AI Beautification 2.0, front camera HDR and Bokeh mode. Pictures taken from this device are superb.
You can plug in headphones to the 3.5-millimetre jack there’s a built-in FM radio too so you can tune in anywhere. And if you decide to bring your own music library with you storage is expandable on top of the 32gb or 64 gb storage. Sound clarity is really clear & loud, very nice.
Realme 2 device comes with 4230 mAh battery which gives you long battery backup. The charging port that comes with the device is USB Type-A, which also acts as a dat transfer. Even if you are surfing the Internet with gaming, calls, whitespace and movies, its brilliant battery will back up to you the next day because this device comes with “AI Power Manager”, which reduces the power consumption of apps.
The realme2 device comes with 1.8 Ghz Qualcomm Octak Processor, which is made up of the 14nm process. Qualcomm has created this processor for low power consumption and more battery life. This processor comes with two RAM options 3GB and 4 GB. Qualcomm 450 mobile platform is a highly tested platform and is known for its excellent delivery. Realme 2 gives you 64 GB storage space and 50 GB of space available for the user has been provided. The device runs on Color OS version 5.1 and the Android Oreo operating system supports. It does have dual volte supportI know there’s a lot of confusion if the Snapdragon 450 supports dual volte. But this mode definitely seems to have that. The dual SIM card slot which by the way is not hybrid, so you can use two SIM cards and a micro SD card with it just like the Realme 1.
